Merge Mural Fest brings artists to the lot behind 57 N Washington Street to paint live over the weekend. You can watch the work go up in real time, which is a different kind of fun than looking at a finished piece. Free, casual, and right in downtown Danville.
A marathon, half marathon, and shorter race distances all starting at the Rec Center, with proceeds supporting first responders. The victory party afterward is open to everyone, so you can cheer people across the line even if you’re not running.
The Bow Wow Bash turns the Washington Township Park splash pad over to dogs for the afternoon before it closes for the season. Dogs swim, owners watch, and everyone leaves wet. It’s a genuinely fun way to close out summer in Avon.
